Charles Wendell Love, Age 65, of Detroit, MI passed away September 22, 2019.
Charles Wendell Love was born November 12, 1953 in Batesville, Mississippi to Callie L. (Lloyd) and E.C.Terry Love Sr. He was the youngest child of four born into this union.
Charles accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized at First Baptist Church in Detroit, Delray, Michigan. Charles attended Revival Tabernacle Church until his health failed him.
Charles attended Southwestern High School and later studied Business at Wayne County Community College. He also went to school to become a C.N.A.
At the age of 18 Charles moved to Memphis, Tennessee. During his time in Memphis he become a DJ at The Burning Spear. Shortly afterwards, Charles joined a dance company and became a background dancer for Isaac Hayes and Helen Washington. Moving forward in his career Charles became the Master of Ceremonies (M.C.) for Al Hudson and the Soul Partners. Throughout his career Charles met countless celebrities.
Charles enjoyed entertaining his family and friends. He loved to sing, dance, tell jokes, and was full of laughter.
Charles departed this life September 22, 2019. He was preceded in death by, Mary E. Green (his beloved older sister).
He leaves to cherish his memories: Callie L. Love (Mother) 94 and E. C. Terry Love Sr. (Father) 93; two brothers, Terry Love Jr. (Cynthia), Kenney E. Love; seven nieces; three nephews (who were more like his siblings); a host of great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
