Elizabeth A. Williams, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away on April 29, 2025, in Westland, Michigan. She was born on August 23, 1959, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. A vibrant spirit, Elizabeth dedicated her life to her family, her passions, and her community.
She attended Garden City East High School, where she graduated in 1977. Elizabeth went on to make significant contributions, especially through her service to veterans, where she held the esteemed position of Senior Vice President of the VFW local chapter and served on the Women's Auxiliary Board. Her commitment to service demonstrated her unwavering support for veterans and their families.
Elizabeth's interests included gardening and quilting, activities she pursued with great joy and creativity. She had a deep affection for her church and loved spending quality time with her family. A source of joy for many, her ability to bring people together will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Brian) Linhart-Murdock; her sisters, Pamela (Al) Haushalter , Jennifer (Mike) Broginski and Carlene (the late Pat) Shaw; her nieces, Melissa Tykoski and Nickol (Bonnie) Broughton; her nephews, Paul (Audry) Tykoski, Bradly (Kaely) Tykoski, Edgar Decess, James Burpo, Jesse (Juline) Posey, and Travis (Jacquelynn) Posey.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Williams; her parents, Edgar and Norma Decess; and her stepson, Tim Williams.
Visitation will be held on May 4, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM, both at The Husband Family Funeral Home, located at 2401 S Wayne Rd, Westland, MI 48186.
Elizabeth A. Williams will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy of love, service, and community involvement will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her life.
