Obituary

John (Jack) Clark, 78 yrs old, from Westland Michigan passed away on February 23, 2026. Jack was born in Garden City Michigan to James & Lenore Clark on Aug 6,1947. He graduated from Cherry Hill High school in 1965. He met his wife May (Tiny) in 1962 when he moved in next door to her family. They became childhood sweethearts and were married on December 18th,1965. The couple had just celebrated 60 yrs of marriage. Jack took a job at the Ford truck plant in Wayne, Michigan right out of high school and worked there until his retirement in 1997.

Jack enjoyed playing softball, cards, hogging the remote control and always being right. He loved the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions, often watching the games while yelling at the TV. His passion for bowling hit a high when he bowled his perfect 300 game at Beech Lanes in 2002.

Fiercely loyal and protective of his family Jack was the guy that would do anything for you. He took in several family members when they were down on their luck and helped them to get back on their feet and was always a shoulder or hand to grab for strength. He became an ordained minister and preformed weddings for his daughter, nieces and several extended family members.

Husband of 60 yrs of Sarah May (Tiny) Clark.

Dad to Sherri &Tim Detherage, Randy and Joye (pooh bear) Clark.

Pops to Craig and Lori Hubbard, Billy & Liz Clark.

Bopa to Manda & Marty Fields, Jess & Mallori Leigh, Jackie, DJ & Chelsea Gibbish, Stephanie & Casey Wolfe, Ricky, Jamie & Holly, Josh, Joe & Austin Megges.

He also held a very close relationship with Mellissa, Valda, Laura and Nancy whom he loved like sisters. Jacks extended family and friends loved and respected him beyond measure. That includes several nieces and nephews who will miss their UNK. Words cannot express the loss the family feels of our family Stone because he loved with all he had. He fought very hard to stay with us, but his body had had enough, and he passed peacefully in his sleep. As a last true act of kindness, Jack donated his eyes to give someone the gift of sight. That's who he was until the end.

He is proceeded in death by his daughter Joye (pooh bear); Parents, Jim and Lenore; Brothers, Jim & Billy; Sister, Evelyn; Grandson, Dylon; Great Grand Daughter, Harper; Mother-in-law, Hazel and Brother-in-law, John.
