Karen Christine Booth

Karen Booth, age 77, of Westland, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, to the late John and Sophie Wzolek.

Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 34 years, Joseph Booth. She is survived by her loving sons, Timothy Harter (Suzanne) and Jeffrey Harter (Jennifer); four cherished grandchildren, Courtney (Ricky), Michaela (Derek), Brendan, and Gabrielle (Luke); and four adored great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five stepchildren and several step-grandchildren who held a special place in her heart. 

Karen was devoted to her family above all else. She found joy in gardening, thrift shopping, and spending peaceful days at the family’s lake cottage, Karen’s humor, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 31530 Beechwood Avenue, Garden City, Michigan 48135. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Karen’s honor to the Father Solanus Casey Center, 1780 Mount Elliott Street, Detroit, MI 48207.
