Kenneth Lamonte Sammons, Sr., 55, of Wayne, MI passed away February 16, 2022.
Kenneth Lamonte Sammons, Sr., was born January 23,1967 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Linda Sammons.
Ken attended Brainerd High School in Chattanooga, TN and graduated in 1985. After high school, Ken attended Kentucky State University on a football scholarship. While attending KSU in 1987, Ken pledged with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity “Que Dogs”. In 1989, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration /Marketing.
Ken was employed with Ford Motor Company for 26 years as a supervisor and later promoted to Superintendent.
Ken was joined in holy matrimony to the love of his life Elainna Coley on August 8, 2009. Ken loved football, fishing, vacationing, playing chess and talking “smack”.
Ken departed this life on February 16, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Sammons and one son, Malik Sammons.
Ken leaves to cherish his memory; His loving wife Elainna Sammons; one brother, Keith Smartt of Chattanooga, TN; four children, Sherrelle Nicole Baker-Sammons of Virginia, Kenneth Lamonte Sammons Jr. of Florida, Tatyana Symone Sammons and Kobe Kenneth Sammons of Michigan; one step-son, DeAndre Marcell Washington of Michigan; six grandchildren, Shawn Demetrius Hudson(14), Jaden Lamont Hudson (13), Arielle La`Nise Norman (12), Destini Michelle Linyear (7), Sebastian Nathaniel Linyear (6) and Oliver Rush Woolums (3) and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
