Kevin S. Williams, Age 58, of Detroit, MI, passed away February 1, 2019.

Sunrise for Kevin Scott Williams was April 20, 160 in Detroit, Michigan to Willie “Bill” Amos and Carolyn Dean Williams both preceded him in death along with his brother Lance.

Kevin received his education through the Detroit Public Schools. While attending Chadsey High School he met his best friend and “brother” Jean-Pierre Dutke. Kevin matured and earned his culinary skills through Chadsey’s vocational program. He honed his cooking skills and became  known as “Chef” Kevin. He graduated from Chadsey in 1978.

Kevin joined the workforce doing what he loved best “cooking and creating”. Kevin opened his first restaurant Key Largo in Walled Lake, Michigan overseeing the full construction, menu development and holding the position of Executive Chef in 1984. He would later become the Executive Chef at Washtenaw Country Club, Providence Hospital/HDS contracting company for 16 years, Fairlane Senior Care and Rehab Center ad then retiring from Cambridge North Health Care Center in Clawson, Michigan in December 2015.

Kevin Williams accepted Jehovah as his savior and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in his early teens. He was a faithful servant of Jehovah.

Kevin was joined in holy matrimony with Tonya Fylice Walker on a destination wedding at Pompano Beach, Florida on October 16, 2010. This matrimony was witnessed by his best friend and “brother” Jean.

He enjoyed most of all being with his family and friends. His favorite hobbies were cooking, travelling and watching all sports. He love to entertain and no one was ever a stranger to him, all were welcomed!!

Sunset for Kevin Williams was on February 1, 2019, Kevin leaves to cherish his memories: His wife Tonya; children’s Michacle, Tia, Tavay, and “Bobby Scott”; siblings: Michael, Yolanda (John), Duane, Douglas (Alycia), Bradford (India), Brian, Joshua, Jaden; grandchildren: Jalen, Autumn, Demetria, Davion, Taylor and Peyton; and a host of nephews, nieces, and Lia Skye his “Cutie Patootie”, aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
