Linda Jean Morse (Trygg), was born on August 8, 1948, in Garden City, Michigan. She left this world peacefully on July 31, 2025, in Wayne, Michigan, leaving behind a legacy of joy and laughter that touched the lives of many.
Linda dedicated 22 years of her life serving proudly at Greenfield Village, where her love for her work and the friendships she forged were evident. A graduate of Wayne Memorial High School in 1966, she carried her love for life into every aspect of her work and personal experiences. She made many lasting friendships and loved her work friends like they were family. Linda was also a proud member of the Yankee Air Museum where her passion for aviation and history further exemplified her zest for learning and connection.
Known for her infectious happiness, Linda loved to laugh and was always an eager audience for a good joke. Her spirit was buoyed by music; she would often burst into song, embodying a sense of silliness as she refused to grow up. If you had a joke, she was your best audience. Linda's adventurous side was revealed through her fondness for fishing adventures with her brothers, which created cherished memories that she treasured.
The performing arts held a special place in Linda’s heart, and she was proud of her accomplishments, notably her recognition as the Best Supporting Actress in her theatre group. Theater provided her a canvas to express her creativity, bringing joy not just to herself but to those who witnessed her performances. She loved life.
Above all, Linda cherished her family. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Susan (Mark) Nussell and Elizabeth (Mike) Choinski, who will continue to carry her legacy forward. As a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, affectionately known as "Granny," she found immense joy in spending time with her beloved grandchildren, Zachary (Lucia) Nussell and Cameron Nussell, as well as her great-granddaughter, Lena Nussell.
Linda is survived by her loving brothers, James Morse and Tom (Janine) Morse, and her niece Andrea Baldwin and nephew Benjamin Morse. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, David Dixon, and great-nephew Jeremy.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Morse, her father, Frank Morse III, her sister, Sally Dixon, her grandmother, Lottie Hardin, her grandfather, Floyd Hardin, and her aunt and uncle, Lois and Lee Wilmoth.
Linda Jean Morse will be remembered for her radiant spirit, infectious laughter, and the deep love she had for her family and friends. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
