Thomas "Tom" Strunk Sr.

Thomas "Tom" Strunk Sr., born on August 30, 1971, in Westland, MI, passed away on July 2, 2025, in Taylor, MI. He dedicated many years to the asphalt industry, where he was known for his hard work and reliability. Tom attended Gibraltar Schools and established a life full of laughter and joy, marked by his unique sense of humor and incredibly goofy personality.

He held the title of "Papa" close to his heart, taking immense pride in his relationships with his grandchildren. His love and adoration for them were evident and he never hesitated to share this affection with everyone around him. Tom had a zest for life that was reflected in his interests, which included hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. His legacy will live on through the cherished memories he created and the many lives he touched. He will be very missed by everyone.

Tom is survived by his wife, Pamela Strunk; his mother, Ramona Nieman; his son, Thomas Strunk Jr.; his daughter, Felicity (Justin) Strunk; his stepson, Dylan (Maranda) Warady; and his stepdaughter, Ashlee (Deshawn) Warady. His grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy, include Colton Strunk, River White, Ellianna Charleston, Kaiser Charleston, Hudson Corder, Noah Mcleod, Malayah Warady, and Dylan Warady Jr. He is also survived by his siblings, Gerald (Rose) Strunk, Michelle (Todd) Kovach, and Wendi Strunk.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold "Jerry" Strunk, and his grandfather, Leo Nieman.

Tom will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will remain lovingly alive in the hearts of his family and friends.
