William "Little Billy" Loop III, known affectionately as Little Billy, was a cherished son, brother, father, and friend who touched the lives of many. His journey began on October 3, 1991, in Wyandotte, MI, where he graced the world with his presence. Tragically his time with us came to an end on July 18, 2024, in Royal Oak, MI.
From his early years at Lakeland High School to his final days, Billy exuded a fun-loving and quirky spirit that endeared him to all who knew him. He was not only known for his sense of humor but also for his incredible culinary skills; indeed, he was an amazing cook whose dishes brought joy to countless people.
Little Billy's passions knew no bounds—whether he was out bowling with friends, casting a line while fishing, navigating the waters in a kayak, or turning wrenches on cars and hot rods, he pursued each interest with enthusiasm and skill. His love for cooking extended beyond personal enjoyment; it was a way for him to share his talents and bring people together.
Among the pages of Little Billy's life story are remarkable acts of kindness and bravery. He was recognized for his heroic efforts in saving a child from drowning—a testament to his selflessness and quick thinking in times of crisis. Furthermore, he dedicated time to walking dogs for the Humane Society and assisting the homeless community—leaving an indelible mark of compassion wherever he went.
In mourning William's departure are his father William James Loop Jr., mother Patricia Marie Loop, daughter Shianne Stephens, son William James Loop IV, stepson Cooper Sullivan; brothers Bailey Loop and Riley Loop; sisters Hailey Loop and Angela Ellsworth; aunts Holly Long and Shelly Hudick; uncles Dale Hudick and Jeffrey Long, —as well as numerous other relatives and friends who were deeply impacted by his presence.
He was preceded in passing by grandfather William James Loop Sr., grandmother Ellen Marie Yax; aunt Heather McKenzie and uncle Danny Hudick.
A visitation to honor Little Billy's memory will be held on July 25th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Husband Family Funeral Home in Westland. This will be followed by a Funeral Service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location—a time for all who knew him to come together and celebrate the life of this remarkable individual.
William "Little Billy" Loop III may have departed this world prematurely but leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in peace Little Billy until we meet again.
