Charles E. Roberson, Sr., Age 65, of Westland, MI passed away April 18, 2019.
Charles Edward Roberson was born on September 18, 1953 to Charlie and Eva Roberson in Fargo, Arkansas. He was the oldest of 10 siblings. Charles attended and graduated from Brinkley High School in Brinkley, Arkansas.
Charles met and married Elnora on March 29, 1979 and had two wonderful children, Ebony Monique Roberson (whom preceded him and death) and Charles “Chuckie” Edward Jr.
Charles was employed at General Motors as a hi-lo driver for many years but his real love was cooking. Charles knew his way around the kitchen. You would often find him cooking Southern favorites and making sure everyone ate. His favorite was barbecue and he would always include his special sauce. Charles always made you feel welcome when you came to visit. His sense of humor was incredible, always laughing and making sure others laughed as well. Charles loved to fish and he LOVED playing dominoes with family and friends. Charles loved hats and he never left home without one.
Charles adored his children and grandchildren whom affectionately called him Paw Paw and adopted many of their friends. Charles was a father to many and would often have a house full of children.
Charles departed this life on April 18, 2019. Charles is preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Eva; sister Dean; brother James and daughter Ebony Monique. Charles leaves to cherish his memories; his loving and devoted wife Elnora Roberson; son Charles “Chuckie” Roberson; grandchildren Destiny, Miciaiah and Deontay Israel; seven siblings, Novella, Mary, Archie Lee, Jerry, Carl (Karen), Timothy (Charleen) and John Earl; tons of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and a host of aunts and uncles whom he loved dearly.
