Charlotte Jean McAvon, Age 76, of Garden City, MI passed away May 16, 2019.
Charlotte Jean McAvon was born December 19, 1942 to Clearance June and Mildred Ackerman.
She enjoyed sewing, Bingo, Keno and scratch-off tickets as well as spending time with her family. She was also a talented quilt maker and one of her greatest accomplishments is a quilt with the faces of babies that were patients at Knoxville Children’s Hospital. The quilt is currently displayed at the entrance of the hospital. In her last days Charlotte enjoyed seeing pictures and hearing stories of her great-great-grandchildren Olivia and Jaxson Guetta.
She was preceded in death by her husband George McAvon as well as her brothers Milford June, Ricky June, Elrey June, Gale June and sister Betty June Kulas.
She leaves to celebrate her life, her daughters Sherry McAvon, Lisa (Joel) Goddard; her grandchildren Jennifer (Robert) Bell, Matthew Guetschoff, Erica Guetschoff, Andrew Guaetta, Holli Guaetta, Zachery (Baileigh) Guaetta; great-grandchildren Malayah Guetschoff, Jaylynn Guetschoff, Faith Guetschoff, Chase Bell, Jersi Guetschoff, Nicholas Harding, Jaxson Guaetta, Olivia Guaetta; sister Shirley Davenport, brothers Dale June, Rodney June; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
