Colleen M. Murphy, age 56, of Taylor, MI passed away on April 14, 2021.
Colleen was born with Muscular Dystrophy that was not discovered until she was three years old. Throughout her life it got progressively worse with numerous surgeries but she never let it hold her back. She loved jet skiing and would stay out on the lake for hours and ride as good or better than most anyone else. When she fell off she would pull herself back on as she had more strength in her arms than her legs. She had a modified machine and would get so much pleasure beating others racing.
She enjoyed going to concerts, basketball and hockey games, and rarely missed going downtown to the fireworks. As some of you know, she could be testy at times but if you needed anything and she could help, she was there.
She is survived by her son Daniel Murphy, father Charles (Judy deceased) Murphy, brothers James Murphy, John (Tracy) Glenn Jr. and Stefan (Keera) Franco. Her mother Beverly Murphy predeceased her.
