Jim W. Robinson, Jr., Age 69, of Detroit, MI, passed away January 2, 2019.

Jim was born November 29, 1949 to Jim Walter Robinson (deceased) and Allean Paremore Roberson (deceased) in Polk County, Florida. He was the oldest of 11 children. Jim attended Jackson County Training School where he graduated class of 1968. After graduating high school in 1970, Jim moved to Detroit, MI where he began his career at General Motors Corporation. He remained employed with the company for 40 years until his retirement on July 1, 2008.

Jim was joined in holy matrimony with Darlene C. Robinson in 1981. A blended family was created including Raquel & Jonathan (Anita), & TaTanya (Darlene). In 1986, Jim W. Robinson Jr. was born into their union. Jim had a passion for sports, spending time with family & friends, and of course, his favorite past time was visiting Motor City Casino.

Jim was called home on January 2, 2019 at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington, MI. He is survived by his wife Darlene C. Robinson, his four children Raquel Robinson, Jonathan Robinson, TaTanya Lanier (Richard) & Jim Robinson Jr., grandchildren Anthony Shelton Jr., Kevin Bailey Jr., Jallandra Robinson & Jonise Robinson, siblings Carla Roberson, Betty Yates Gordon, Shirley Roberson Rayl (William), Teresa Duko (Mark), Toni Bridges (Victor), Timothy Roberson, Debbie Roberson, Walter Roberson, Jene Roberson, Joanne Roberson (deceased) & Cardale Roberson (deceased), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
